Program Overview

The Music program is your opportunity to develop your academic and professional skills in performance, composition and musicology. Students who intend to qualify to teach with Ontario teaching certification at the Honors Specialist level should enroll in the Honors in Music Education program. From a wide range of electives students may choose a comprehensive program or may specialize in elementary or secondary school vocal or instrumental music.

Three distinct A-Level (or four distinct AS-Level) traditional academic subjects with grades of A and/or B, GCSE/IGCSE (O-Level) results, IB of 28 including points awarded for the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge, TOEFL ibT of 83 with no score below 20, PTE of 58 no score less than 56, MELAB of 80 with no score less than 78, IELTS Academic of 6.5 with no part less than 6.0, CAN Test of 4.0, CAEL of 60, audition, theory placement test, questionnaire, two letter of recommendation forms from your music teachers,a weighted average of at least 70% and no mark less than 60% in Music courses, and a passing grade in the non-Music course
