Program Overview

UNB Fredericton offers a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering program that is designed to provide students with a good foundation in mechanical engineering principles and practices. Through four years of coursework, students gain a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems, energy, and manufacturing, preparing them with many career options in fields such as aerospace, automobile, biomedicine, and renewable energy.

Curriculum Structure
The UNB Mechanical Engineering program provides solid theoretical backgrounds with practical experience. The course structure includes:

The program is accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) to ensure that students are prepared to achieve the highest standards of professional engineering practice and that the program prepares graduates to become eligible to pursue professional engineering licenses, like the P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) in Canada.
