Asian Language & Literature : Supervised reading and preparation of an Honours thesis under the direction of a member of staff. This course provides a critical introduction to central themes in Chinese culture. The course will also examine the changing representations of the Chinese cultural tradition in the West. Readings will include original sources in translation from the fields of literature, philosophy, religion, and cultural history.
