The Major in Journalism explores the art of storytelling in the digital age. The program offers a variety of courses that allow students to develop storytelling skills using multi-media tools, including video, photography, sound, and social media platforms. The program promotes strong writing skills, the exploration of media ethics and the influence of new media in society. The program is designed for students with an interest in professional journalism and digital content production.
Demonstrate academic strength in a high school programme of college/university preparatory courses, Criteria such as academic achievement and rank in class will also be considered, English Language Proficiency:TOEFL 61 (Internet-based), TOEFL 500 (Paper-based), MELAB 69, IELTS 5.0, CAEL 40, 50, Cambridge English Qualifications B2 First, Students with the TOEFL scores beloware eligible to take five regular academic courses but may take integrated and assisted courses: TOEFL 89 (Internet-based), TOEFL 573 (Paper-based), MELAB 80, IELTS 6.5, CAEL 60, Cambridge English Qualifications C or higher (C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency), a photocopy of their official Permanent Resident cards, International Baccalaureate and GCE Advanced Level applicants presenting official documentation of grades of 4 or 5 on Advanced Placement (AP) tests, grades of 5, 6 or 7 on individual higher-level International Baccalaureate (IB) subjects, or final grades of C or higher on GCE Advanced-Level courses are eligible for transfer credit
