The University of St. Thomas Background

The University of St. Thomas, also known as St. Thomas, is situated in, Minnesota. It was built in the late nineteenth century as a Catholic university, it is titled after Thomas Aquinas, the Catholic philosopher who is the patron saint of students. St. Thomas currently takes more than ten thousand students, which makes it Minnesota's largest private, non-profit university.  

The University of St. Thomas Campuses

The St. Paul campus is home to most undergraduate students. The primary campus is situated on a farm where St. Paul's Summit Avenue meets the Mississippi River. The site was cultivated by ex-Fort Snelling soldier William Finn. The university as a huge campus which also resides many graduate and Postgraduate students.

The University of St. Thomas Programs and Courses

Each year the university awards a large number of degrees including five different bachelor's degrees. There are more than eighty major fields at the undergraduate level, with more than fifty minor fields of study and seven pre-professional programs. At the graduate and professional level, the university offers 41 master's degrees, two education specialist, one juris doctor and five doctorates.
