Program Overview

Pharmacology is competitive, and is made in third year, following two years in basic science. In this program, you will study the actions and mechanisms of drugs in biology and medicine. You will learn both whole-animal and isolated-tissue techniques as you explore the sources, chemical properties, biological effects, and therapeutic uses of drugs.

Additional Information & Requirements

Final grade of 70% in Grade 11 or Grade 12 English (or equivalent course, including provincial examinations where applicable), Graduation from high school with a minimum average of 70%, UAE Secondary School Leaving Certificate (Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-Amma). Certificates must be official, Grades required for admission will vary by program, but based on the UAE grading scale, the minimum average needed to fall within the competitive range is approximately 84% on a 60% pass-scale, Test scores: IELTS of 6.5, with no part less than 6.0, TOEFL iBT of 90.
