Radiation therapists provide highly specialized technological skills with compassionate patient care. About 60 per cent of cancer patients will receive radiation treatment either in the form of radical treatment to reduce or eradicate tumours or, in advanced cases, as palliative treatment to relieve a patient s pain and improve quality of life.
