Honors Specialization In Computational Biochemistry

4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

Western University

Program Overview

Computational Biochemistry provides insight into the metabolic and regulatory behavior of organisms. It aims to provide predictive models that utilize our increasing knowledge of individual macromolecule function within a biological system based on an organism's genome and correlated with its physiology. In addition to learning fundamentals of biochemistry, students pursuing this module will learn computational approaches to understanding and analyzing large biochemical datasets such as those produced by next-generation sequencing.
