Honours Biology and Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour (PNB) BSc at McMaster University is a four-year, on-campus interdisciplinary program for students passionate about the biological and psychological sciences.   • Year 1: You’ll take BIOLOGY 1A03 (Cellular and Molecular Biology), BIOLOGY 1M03 (Biodiversity, Evolution and Humanity), PSYCH 1X03 (Introduction to Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour), and PSYCH 1XX3 (Introduction to Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour II), plus foundational courses in chemistry and mathematics

  • Year 2: Strengthens your core with BIOLOGY 2B03 (Cell Biology), BIOLOGY 2C03 (Genetics), BIOCHEM 2EE3 (Metabolism and Physiological Chemistry), and PNB 2XA3 (Physiological Psychology), along with statistics electives, ecology, and other psychology electives

  • Year 3: You will be choosing honours courses such as BIOCHEM 3G03 (Proteins and Nucleic Acids), BIOCHEM 3H03 (Clinical Biochemistry), PNB 3XB3 (Cognitive Neuroscience), PNB 3XC3 (Neurophysiology), and PNB 3QQ3/4QQ3 (Research Practicum in PNB), in which you can take laboratory experience for credit, study behavioural neuroscience, and develop experimental design expertise

  • Year 4: Is for specialisation and independent research. You can work on an Honours thesis under the supervision of a Biology or PNB staff member, engage in advanced electives in molecular biology, cognition, or behavioural neuroscience, and conduct seminars or fieldwork in child development, neurobiology, or social learning
