BSc Honours Biology Research Specialisation at McMaster University is a four-year on-campus flexible program that enables you to tailor your learning to your interests across the whole range of biology. Year 1: You’ll take BIOLOGY 1A03 (Cellular and Molecular Biology) and foundational science courses, including chemistry, mathematics, and electives, building a strong base in cell biology, genetics, and scientific inquiry

Year 4: Is dedicated to specialisation and independent research—choose upper-level electives, complete a BIOLOGY 4F06 (Senior Project), participate in BIOLOGY 4J03 (Field Biology II), or pursue research-focused courses in molecular genetics, cell biology, and advanced ecology. You’ll gain expertise in scientific communication and advanced biological techniques
