In these modules, students will gain a solid foundation in the principles governing the properties and interactions of chemical compounds, and will apply this foundation to the study of the molecular processes of life, including disease states and the treatment of disease. Chemical biology is a scientific discipline spanning the fields of chemistry and biology. The discipline involves the application of chemical techniques, analysis, and often small molecules produced through synthetic chemistry, to the study and manipulation of biological systems.
