Bachelor in Archaeology and Biological Anthropology

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

Western University

Program Overview

Archaeology is the study of the human past through material remains. The Department of Sociology and Anthropology has an active program of archaeological fieldwork, museum-based research, and undergraduate education, with a focus on the Pre-Columbian and history eras of the New World. Anthropology is the comparative study of societies and human diversity. It asks questions about behaviour, meaning and value between different societies and cultures. Although the social contexts in which they work are extremely diverse, anthropologists share a commitment to exploring and understanding different ways of life and cultural perspectives, and illuminating these for others.
