Program Overview

This program offers theoretical, methodological and practical training in sociological research in relation with local actors and organizations. You will develop scientific expertise and critical thinking that will enable you to analyze a variety of social problems, address societal issues, and participate in informed decision-making. This program will familiarize you with the main theoretical perspectives of sociology and its approaches to investigation and analysis of social phenomena. You will be trained in both qualitative and quantitative research methods (field observation, survey, analysis of documents and interviews, social statistics, etc.). The various topics under study (family, culture, social movements, work, organizations, social inequalities, consumption, environment, etc.) will enhance your knowledge in the field in addition to developing your understanding of the world and your critical thinking.
