Established in 1825, the Laval University is a French language university located in Quebec, Canada. University of Laval is one of the oldest centres for higher education in Canada. The university is ranked among the top ten Canadian universities in terms of research funding and holds four Canada Excellence Research Chairs.

The university has very strong international collaborations as it has partnership agreements with about 500 universities in nearly 70 countries.
