In Film Studies, you ll be introduced to various aspects of world cinema, with an emphasis on North American, Asian, and European films. You are encouraged to see films as important cultural and social constructs that require context and commentary. The development of your critical thinking and writing skills are primary objectives of the individual courses and of the program as a whole. You can select a major or minor in Film Studies.

Additional Information & Requirements

Final grade of 70% in Grade 11 or Grade 12 English (or equivalent course, including provincial examinations where applicable), Graduation from high school with a minimum average of 70%, UAE Secondary School Leaving Certificate (Shahadat Al-Thanawiya Al-Amma). Certificates must be official, Grades required for admission will vary by program, but based on the UAE grading scale, the minimum average needed to fall within the competitive range is approximately 84% on a 60% pass-scale, Test scores: IELTS of 6.5, with no part less than 6.0, TOEFL iBT of 90.
