BS Pedagogy Biology and Chemistry

The purpose of the academic program is to train Biology and Chemistry teachers with a solid basic training in their specialty,which allows them to understand natural and technological phenomena from a perspective that integrates the two disciplines. Both disciplinary and pedagogical-didactic training will allow teaching that relates scientific knowledge with the environment that surrounds them,using various educational resources,as well as using methodologies in accordance with the new visions of science teaching. In addition,the Program proposes to provide professional training that integrates the teacher into the globalized world,so that they can recognize diversity in their students and have sufficient autonomy to adapt the teaching-learning process to the reality of the classroom in which they are located,The graduates of this degree will be able to work as teachers of the specialty in public and private educational institutions. They will be able to participate in research in the areas of Education and will be able to carry out postgraduate studies in the disciplinary or pedagogical-didactic areas.This career is taught jointly by the Faculty of Sciences and the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities. The first delivers training in scientific disciplines and the second delivers specific pedagogical and didactic training.
