The Biology Program of the Universidad del Valle since its creation through Resolution 211 of December 10 1973 has sought to contribute to the scientific economic social and cultural development of Valle del Cauca by training and educating professionals who contribute to the development of the discipline of the Biology in the region and in the countryThus it can be said that the program since its inception has sought to formulate a curriculum that guarantees that students acquire attitudes abilities and skills that enable them to identify and participate in the solution of problems in the different fields of biological sciencesCapable of developing researching innovating and spreading biological knowledge.
