In the educational model called innovative or ecological (Latin American) the essential element of academic training is the understanding of the healthdisease process in the collective and personal sphere Two aspects converge in this model one that establishes the healthdisease process as an object of study and another that visualizes it as an object of transformation The human being is conceived as a biopsychosocial unit (as in the North American), the curriculum is based on the cognitive current, and learning is considered a process in which both students and teaching staff are subjects and objects assets The study plan is structured in modules (areas) where theory is related to practice
