The bachelor's degree in social work at the University of Ostrava offers you the study of a theoretical and at the same time practical discipline that supports social change, development and social cohesion. It builds on the principles of social justice, human rights, collective responsibility and respect for diversity. Students learn to work with individuals, families, groups and communities. The three-year bachelor's program in social work prepares students for entry into social work practice and for a two-year follow-up master's degree in social work, which is taught in three specializations (Social Work with the Family, Development and Management in Social Work, and Social Work and Criminology).
