In the bachelor's degree, students will acquire basic knowledge and methodological equipment for critical work with professional literature and qualified professional work with works of all fields of fine art. A graduate of the bachelor's degree in Art History will gain a good overview of the development of European and world art and a detailed knowledge of the history of Czech art. Furthermore, they will acquire knowledge of the history of theoretical thinking about art and the development of art history, as well as a basic overview of the history of art and other humanities (aesthetics, history, philosophy, religious studies, etc.). In addition to professional knowledge, the graduate will also acquire language skills necessary both for the study of professional literature and for possible work abroad.
A completed secondary education before entering the first year of a Bachelor s , a notarised copy of your secondary school leaving certificate or your Bachelor s diploma, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550, ACT English and Reading 24, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
