Bachelors in Monument care with a focus on technical monuments

The bachelor's study program History of Art is designed so that students learn everything essential about the development of art from antiquity to the 20th century, both in Europe and in the Czech lands, during the compulsory lectures. In practical exercises, students acquire the basic skills of the historian's craft, such as professional terminology and its practical use in the description and interpretation of a work of art, they become familiar with working with literary sources, historical sources and archival funds. They will get to know the basic principles of restoration of monuments and museum education. In the specialized Monument Care program with a focus on technical monuments, greater emphasis is placed on the issue of monument protection of cultural heritage during teaching. Students will get to know the basic rules of restoration of monuments, their documentation and analysis.
