Program Overview

Part of it is the acquisition of specific professional competence in speech therapy for working with people with impaired communication skills of all age categories and people with hearing impairment (surdopedia), which will provide graduates with the necessary theoretical and practical basis, which will be able to be transformed into the field of complex diagnostics and intervention of people with impaired communication ability, its specifics or deviations, and including persons with so-called symptomatic (secondary) speech disorders and persons with disorders of the orofacial area and swallowing disorders interfering with the processes of physiology and pathology of communication, language and speech, both in the area of verbal (spoken, written, signed), as well as non-verbal communication. The graduate will be prepared in both receptive (and impressive) and expressive components of speech and non-speech communication, including developmental and acquired learning disabilities.
