Palacky University History

Palacky University is the oldest university in Moravia and the second oldest university in the Czech Republic. It is a public university established in the year 1573 led by the Jesuit order in Olomouc, which was the capital of Moravia.

The University provide multiple facilities for the students like in their campus they have academic sports center, center for information technologies, also provide library and central library to the students. It also has project service, halls of residence bureau and has science and technology park and university press and Confucius institute for Chinese schooling.

Palacky Universit Achievements

Palacky University was awarded the European Professional Award for outstanding achievements. The University was also awarded by European Professional Award for outstanding achievements on the national level. The University was awarded by national award Czech Mind Award for scientists in the Czech Republic in the year of 2002.

Pranav Sahu, a scientist from the Olomouc branch of the Institute of Experimental biological science of the Czech Academy of Sciences was awarded in the Asian nation for his research into plants and their reactions to climate change. His work was awarded second place at a symposium of the European Molecular Biology Organization, which took place on 15-17 April 2019 in Delhi.

Palacky University, In THE World Universities Rankings 2019, Palacký University ranked 601 to 800 as in the previous year. In April 2018, the ranking company published for the first time THE NEW EUROPE 2018 ranking, and Palacký University ranked seventh in Olomouc.

Palacky University, also provides Scholarship to foreign doctoral students. The Scholarship is J.L Fischer Scholarship.
