Program Overview

The bachelor's degree program forms and deepens in the form of lectures and seminars, mostly in French language, in the field of French studies, both in linguistic and literary disciplines, as well as in cultural anthropology and francophony. Emphasis is placed on mastering language competences at B2-C1 level, and also on linking theoretical knowledge to their practical application and to communication in language. These skills are based on a rational understanding of morphological-syntactic structure, phonetic system, lexic character and developmental patterns of French.

A completed secondary education before entering the first year of a Bachelor s , a notarised copy of your secondary school leaving certificate or your Bachelor s diploma, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550, ACT English and Reading 24, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
