Program Overview

The graduate will acquire knowledge of the sound plan of language (production and perception of speech, acoustic properties of speech signal, principles of phonological description, speech acquisition, techniques and culture of speech) and acquire skills related to speech analysis (instrumental and listening, segmental and suprasegmental) . He is ready to study at the Master's level. With a direct transition to practice, he can apply to professions requiring the ability to analyze and evaluate the language of the language, or to develop active language communication skills. It is mainly used in institutions with a cultural focus and in institutions dealing with human resources and education. The second direction is to work in teams focused on technical usage of speech, especially in creating information technologies and artificial intelligence systems.

A completed secondary education before entering the first year of a Bachelor s , a notarised copy of your secondary school leaving certificate or your Bachelor s diploma, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550, ACT English and Reading 24, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
