Earth Sciences provides students with basic information on Earth's evolution and functioning. The discipline is motivated by the advancing global change that causes fluctuations in weather, climate change, the water cycle, biogeochemical cycles of important nutrients and toxic substances, and other key processes on the planet. There is no field in the Czech Republic that would introduce students to the fundamentals of the planet's physical order and the resulting metabolic and energy metabolism. Understanding these processes is key to successfully adapting to ongoing global change and mitigating their impact on society.
A completed secondary education before entering the first year of a Bachelor s , a notarised copy of your secondary school leaving certificate or your Bachelor s diploma, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550, ACT English and Reading 24, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
