Program Overview

The cartography and geoinformatics specialization is part of the Environmental Geography program, which is a modern discipline dealing with the landscape from a broad geographic perspective. As part of the course, you will also get to know all the components of the landscape and their interrelationships and thus become landscape experts focused on the methods of processing and displaying data about the landscape. Studies at our workplace are modern not only in the name of the program, but also in the teaching methods and technical equipment. Project-based teaching allows you to get involved in the solution of specific practical tasks, a number of field practices and excursions transfer the teaching from classrooms to the real landscape. The most modern devices for data collection (total stations, satellite navigation, drones, sonars) and the most modern software for their processing will prepare you for practice and for possible further studies.
