Program Overview

The discipline represents a comprehensive three-year interdisciplinary bachelor study program (ie it is not focused only on geology, although it is included in the Geology study program). The curriculum study is based on Earth sciences (geology, hydrogeology and related fields, geochemistry, physical geography) and general knowledge about the use of natural (especially mineral) resources and the environmental impact of this use, complemented by knowledge of ecology and environmental protection . During the study, attention is also paid to obtaining information, processing data, evaluating and interpreting them. The field of study is also supplemented by an overview of environmental protection legislation and examples of its application.

A completed secondary education before entering the first year of a Bachelor s , a notarised copy of your secondary school leaving certificate or your Bachelor s diploma, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550, ACT English and Reading 24, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
