The graduate is able to communicate in a foreign language environment corresponding to his / her language competence at B2 level of the European Framework of Reference for Languages; is able to work with relevant foreign language texts corresponding to chosen area language A (Lithuanian, Latvian, Russian, Ukrainian). The graduate is ready to make commercial translations (both literary and non-literary) from the chosen area language A into the mother tongue (and vice versa) for the needs of state and private entities. The graduate acquires professional qualifications in the state institutions developing foreign policy and other special-interest and field-specific activities in the region of Eastern Europe, in regional state institutions (at the level of regions) developing activities in the field of cross-border cooperation.
