Program Overview

The aim of the field of study of Music Education with a focus on education is to support the all-round development of personality comprehensively prepared in the field of music theory and practice, to the extent given by the possibilities and needs of the field itself. The priorities of the field are education for aesthetic perception, understanding, analysis, evaluation and singing and instrumental interpretation of music on the basis of completed music theoretical and practical disciplines, in the role of preparation for the follow-up master study of VVP for primary and secondary schools - music education, but also to pursue a profession in the state administration, the private sector, in educational facilities for leisure activities for children and youth, in the field of culture with emphasis on regional activities, in leisure time education and adult activities.

A completed secondary education before entering the first year of a Bachelor s , a notarised copy of your secondary school leaving certificate or your Bachelor s diploma, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550, ACT English and Reading 24, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
