The study takes place in parallel in the field of linguistics and literary studies. In the field of linguistics, it is based on the broader context of the historical development of the Czech and Slavic languages. However, the greatest attention is paid to the knowledge of contemporary language, which is further related to the practical ability to produce language communications and orientation in them, to the development of reading literacy and to various approaches to text analysis. In the literary field of study, students will learn about the development of Czech literature from the earliest times to the present day. Literary education includes lectures and seminars on literary theory and literary methodology, which provide students with basic tools for analyzing a literary text and at the same time develop the ability to interpret and critically approach individual problems in the field of literary history and literary theory.
