Program Overview

The aim of the double-degree program Czech-German Studies, whose graduates obtain a bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Social Sciences and the University of Regensburg) is to provide its students with qualified contextual (general) and regional (professional) knowledge and analytical-synthetic (special) skills within the specialization. (linguistics, literary science, culture sciences, politics and history and law and economic history). Thanks to the division of credits into individual disciplinary modules, a very uniform degree of study is achieved through the above-mentioned directions of social sciences and students are able to gain insight into them. An integral part of the study is a practice that requires the application of acquired knowledge in a professional German-language working environment.

A completed secondary education before entering the first year of a Bachelor s , a notarised copy of your secondary school leaving certificate or your Bachelor s diploma, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550, ACT English and Reading 24, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
