The study takes place in parallel in the field of linguistics and literary studies with a systematic deepening of knowledge of the practical language and realities of Portuguese-speaking countries, especially Portugal and Brazil. In the field of linguistics, emphasis is placed on mastering contemporary Portuguese and understanding the regularities of the language's structure. In the field of literary studies, students learn about the nature and function of a literary text and the development of Portuguese and Brazilian literature from the beginning to the present. Students also deepen their basic linguistic, literary and cultural knowledge and skills through optional subjects
