Program Overview

The aim of the study is to obtain a comprehensive theoretical and practical qualification needed to acquire the proficiency to perform the profession of midwife. Graduates will be prepared for future practical application in the profession of midwife. Graduates are able to provide professional nursing care in the field of obstetrics, gynecology and neonatology in inpatient and outpatient health care facilities, in home care, in health care in the family / community. They are employed in prevention, diagnostics, and are involved in the treatment and care of pregnant women, mothers, newborns, the puerperium, gynecologically ill women and in the field of gynecology.

A completed secondary education before entering the first year of a Bachelor s , a notarised copy of your secondary school leaving certificate or your Bachelor s diploma, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550, ACT English and Reading 24, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
