Program Overview

The bachelor study program Judaism (the program is without specialization) is focused on acquiring basic knowledge in the field of Judaism, ie research on Judaism as a religious system, whose values are one of the preservative foundations of Europe in addition to Christianity. The bachelor degree will equip graduates with knowledge of source languages (Biblical Hebrew, Biblical Aramaic) and modern Hebrew (ivrit), basic information on Judaism and its sources and on the history of the Jews. Thematically, the study program is focused on Jewish traditions and customs and synagogue liturgy, this knowledge is verified by the state final examination. The aim of the bachelor's study is to prepare graduates for the application of acquired knowledge in practice, or for further studies of Judaism and other fields in follow-up Master's degree programs.

A completed secondary education before entering the first year of a Bachelor s , a notarised copy of your secondary school leaving certificate or your Bachelor s diploma, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550, ACT English and Reading 24, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
