Program Overview

The study field of philosophy will provide students with a thorough knowledge of the history of philosophical thought and basic philosophical texts. The study is focused primarily on the history of philosophy, from its beginnings in ancient Greece to the middle of the 20th century. Philosophy forms the core of the European and world intellectual heritage. From her spiritual struggles, more than one important stimulus for special sciences, but also for ethics or politics, arose. A graduate of the field of philosophy must gain, but also pass on, respect for this wealth and adopt the virtues that have necessarily accompanied his cultivation so far: respect for the truth, tolerance for the opinions of others, awareness of responsibility, moral maturity.
