Program Overview

The Bachelor of Old Catholic Theology provides education as a preparation for clergy and pastoral work. It gives a comprehensive view of the history of the Church as a whole and of the history of the Old Catholic Church in our country and in the world. Students also learn about the traditional languages that traditionally form part of theological compendium, ie Latin, Biblical Hebrew and New Testament Greek. In the field of systematic theology, emphasis is placed on trinitology, christology, soteriology, eclesiology and eschatology. Within the framework of bibliography, students learn about the history of the Old Testament text and the New Testament.

A completed secondary education before entering the first year of a Bachelor s , a notarised copy of your secondary school leaving certificate or your Bachelor s diploma, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550, ACT English and Reading 24, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
