Program Overview

The study program is intended for students who are interested in getting to know compounds and chemical processes in living nature based on the presence of mainly metallic elements. Students will get information about the importance of metal elements in enzymes, but also about the application of these elements in diagnostics, medicine and toxicology. They will also gain experience in the synthesis of both organic substances and complexes, nanoparticles and possibly also drug transporters. The student will become familiar with the equipment needed to characterize substances.
