Program Overview

Ecological and evolutionary biology is focused on education of ecology and biodiversity experts. The field is devoted to dynamically developing directions of contemporary biology. The aim is to optimally prepare students for follow-up master's study in biological and ecological fields. Under the bachelor's degree, the graduate will acquire a comprehensive education in the ecology and biodiversity of organisms, including the expanded foundations of related auxiliary disciplines (Earth sciences and the environment, biostatistics, laboratory techniques). Emphasis is placed on the knowledge and practice of a field biologist with the ability to use ecosystem and landscape knowledge.

A completed secondary education before entering the first year of a Bachelor s , a notarised copy of your secondary school leaving certificate or your Bachelor s diploma, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550, ACT English and Reading 24, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
