Program Overview

"The study program represents professionally oriented preparation for the non-medical health profession ""optometrist"", while it is based on the legislative requirements of the Czech Republic and the European Diploma in Optometry. It consists of specialist subjects focused on vision correction and examination, including contactology, ophthalmology, spectacle optics and spectacle technology. Emphasis is placed on the balance of theoretical and practical teaching. In addition, the program includes a general medical foundation, a mathematical-physical foundation with an eye on optical disciplines and other subjects, such as an introduction to professional economics and legislation, informatics, and a foreign language. Graduates of the study are fully prepared for the independent practice of the profession of ""optometrist"""
