Bachelors in European studies and diplomacy

The key knowledge pillar of the study program is the issue of the European Union and diplomacy. The section covering the European Union focuses on its development, institutional structure and policies. Students acquire knowledge both in the history of European integration and in the knowledge of EU institutions and other actors. Much attention is paid to the integration process that the Czech Republic went through and its functioning within the EU. At the same time, students are introduced to the issue of relations between the European Union and the USA, in which the external dimension of the EU is connected with another part of the knowledge pillar, which is diplomacy. In the part dedicated to diplomacy, students are introduced to the development of diplomacy, theories and approaches, which are also clarified in the context of specific case studies and examples.
