Communication studies are the intersection of basic social sciences such as sociology, political science, psychology or cultural studies, as well as creative disciplines in literature, film, television and new media. The media in all its present and past forms (as a means of communication or instrument) are at the center of these intersections. To analyze media (whether content creation or transmission, or its perception and influence) is to penetrate into the fields of psychology, public and commercial spheres, politics, private sphere and intimacy, to penetrate the mechanisms of media logic and the influence of media, cultural and creative industries.

Additional Information & Requirements

A completed secondary education before entering the first year of a Bachelor s , a notarised copy of your secondary school leaving certificate or your Bachelor s diploma, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 550, ACT English and Reading 24, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
