Program Overview

The graduate will acquire knowledge of foreign language at C1 level according to CEFR, with the assumption of rapid development of language skills to a higher level after incorporation in the relevant field. Furthermore, they will acquire basic competencies in translation (translation of general and specialized texts of lower difficulty into Czech language), with the prerequisite of developing the ability to translate the texts in both directions based on practice in the relevant field of application. He also gains basic skills in accompanying and bilateral interpreting, with the assumption of developing the ability to interpret consciously based on practice in the field. They will acquire the ability of theoretical reflection of basic translation and interpreting problems, they will be able to apply themselves as an independent specialist who is able to mediate inter-language communication in a company / institution of any character.
