Palacky University

Program Overview

The key pillar of knowledge is the issue of international relations and security. The section covering international relations focuses on a range of contemporary and historical topics that help to understand the behavior of states and international organizations. Much attention is paid to the milestones of international relations in the 20th and early 21st centuries and their analysis. At the same time, students are introduced to the issue of international security, which is inextricably linked to international relations. As part of the study of security, students are introduced to the main theoretical approaches to security research, to the traditional military-strategic approach, and to the expanded concept of security. Students gain knowledge of the current international security-strategic environment and become more familiar with, among other things, the phenomenon of terrorism.
