In the course of their studies, students complete compulsory subjects and choose from mandatory optional and optional subjects. The study is theoretically and practically focused. Students acquire professional knowledge and skills by completing basic theoretical and applied psychological disciplines and selected related sciences. The study also includes mostly practically oriented subjects, e.g. subjects involving practice in social care and healthcare facilities, excursions and internships in psychological facilities or subjects leading to the acquisition of skills for the preparation and implementation of psychological research. Within the framework of most taught subjects, students' personal, social and study competences are shaped, such as communication and presentation skills, creative, logical and critical thinking, the ability to analyze and solve problems and learn. During their studies, students gradually acquire basic knowledge and skills in the field of theoretical, diagnostic, interventional and research work in psychology, which, together with general personal abilities, form an integrated set of psychological competencies, in accordance with the modern European standard of education in the field of psychology given by the European Certificate from the psychology of Europe.
