Program Overview

The three-year bachelor's degree in the history of fine arts provides basic education in the issues of art history and the history and theory of contemporary visual culture, at the same time it teaches the graduate to master the basic methods of research work, methods of protecting works of art and procedures for presenting and mediating art to the public. The teaching courses lead the student to understand the transformations of artistic creation from prehistoric times to the end of the 20th century and provide insight into iconography, historiography and the methodology of art history.
