1 CoursesBachelor in classical languages in Aarhus university
On Campus
On the classical languages programme, you study Greek and Latin literature in the original language, and you investigate linguistic, literary, historical, cultural and philosophical issues. You also study the influence of the classical world s cultures on the modern world. Courses on the classical languages programme are based on practical exercises, lectures and classroom instruction, where you give presentations, participate in discussions and work with your study group. Independent study is a major part of the programme, and you spend a lot of time unravelling knotty grammatical problems and immersing yourself in complex, intricate texts from the distant past. You can choose to train as a classical philologist if you study both Greek and Latin, or you can choose to focus on either Greek or Latin in combination with another subject at the university.
