On Campus
Odontology requires you to learn large quantities of theory so that you can carry out the practical dental work to the highest possible standards. Among other things, you learn about anatomy, chemistry, histology, physiology and social and clinical psychology. You also work with materials such as gypsum, plastic and various metals. On the degree programme, you do regular tests in clinical subjects and laboratory work to ensure that you can satisfactorily carry out the practical work. After the first two years, you form a treatment group with other odontology students. The group reflects the way in which a real dental clinic operates, supervised by clinical instructors.
