The Bachelor of Letters, original and modern, takes place over 3 years. It is based on a generalist and theoretical education based on research. The Bachelor of Letters guarantees a base of disciplinary knowledge and know-how which allows students to then prepare for the competitions for teaching professions (school teacher, secondary school teaching and French as a foreign language) or to access other masters such as those in culture, journalism, books and publishing, etc.The Bachelor of Letters develops on two axes:* The disciplinary teaching units constitute a base which contributes to build in the long term a literary and linguistic culture. They develop advanced editorial, analytical and reflective skills, through the appropriation of works, placed in their context of creation (aesthetics, history, politics, etc.).* Added to this disciplinary base are teaching units based on interdisciplinarity in order to guarantee a rich and diversified cultural openness. These teaching units contribute to the development of digital skills, in modern languages, as well as to the acquisition of a solid culture of image and text-image relationships.
