University of Savoie History

Savoie Mont Blanc University is a university in the Savoy region. A rich multidisciplinary training offer with 15,000 students and 19 internationally recognized research laboratories, The University of Savoie Mont Blanc is a human-sized institution combining its proximity to its territory, its membership as a founding member of the PRES University of Grenoble and its broad openness towards Europe and the world.

University of Savoie Programs, Courses and Schools

It offers short courses (University Diplomas in Technology, University Degrees) and long courses (General, Specialized or Professional Licenses, Research or Professional Masters, Engineering Diplomas, PhDs) in both initial and ongoing training, alternately or Validation of Acquired Experience. Savoy has the fourth highest number of exchange students from Erasmus in France. In 82 countries, the School of International Relations has signed 228 conventions with universities, and the university takes over 1,000 foreign students a year. The Savoie Savoie Mont Blanc University is committed to developing international projects, dual degrees, and English training, and encouraging students, teachers, and researchers to be as mobile as possible and the staff of the administration.

University of Savoie Campuses

The university has three campuses: the campus of Annecy - le - Vieux (near Annecy) is the "technology institute" (IUT) of the university and teaches subjects related to engineering and business and administration. It has a library, a gymnasium and a cafeteria. Chambéry is home to the presidency and administrative buildings of the university. The Bourget - du - Lac Technolac campus (12 km north of Chambéry) is teaching science.
